Flex is serious when it comes to his cars. When you add Joe Jaxson, @D1320 and @Brianesr to his production list, and you get Flex Fest 2019. It was an above average experience with a full boost of ultimate automotive lifestyle experience all in one day. Flex Fest kicked off at the very spacious ten-acre New York Expo Center in the Bronx. The venue was flooded with Pit Rows of custom, muscle and exotic cars. An assortment of food trucks were cranking outside from start to finish with reasonably priced eats. The food was definitely on-point. Eric B. & Rakim set off Flex Fest followed by DJ Khalid, Casanova, HoodCelebrity, Desiigner, lil Tjay, Ambjaay and French Montana who brought out surprise guest, DMX. Celebrities and legends were walking the grounds, shaking hands and taking pictures with everybody. Ice-T and his wife Coco were also hanging out on the show floor with their daughter, Chanel. The atmosphere was absolute Hip-hop without a demographic missing. Flex Fest was certainly dressed with style. Fashion icon, Dapper Dan, was signing his new autobiography, and Ralph McDaniels was continuing pushing the culture forward with his dope ‘Video Music Box’ merch booth. Highbridge The Label’s artist A-Boogie, Don Q and Trap Manny closed out the night. I found it interesting Pop Smoke wasn’t allowed inside the venue, but French ended up performing his hit single ‘Welcome To The Party’ out of respect.
